Mondays over with

Monday was simply that. Fortunately, I am off call this week. Knock on wood, last week and weekend on-call wasn't too bad. A few calls here and there, but nothing like it use to be.
This Monday evening, we had a 'Dinner with the pastor' at the church we been going to. It was a means to ask any questions, get introduced to the church staff, ect. Kel and I went ahead and joined. I continued to be impressed with the sermons. The kids love it. I am curious which Sunday school we will find ourselves in. The Sunday after this one, we will go to a new membership class. I guess we will see.
This weekend, we snuck away to watch Kungfu Panda. I actually liked it. The movie didn't overly emphasize eastern religion. However, the one thing that I kept hearing throughout the movie was "There are no accidents". This, to me, was a positive message. I am currently reading 'Without a Doubt, answering the 20 toughest faith questions' by Kenneth Richard Samples. It basically shows scientifically, we are living on this earth, not by chance but by design (among other things). I am also listening to "The case for a creator", by Strobel, as I drive. Again, the emphasis is we are here not by chance, but by design.
I would suggest watching the KungFu Panda. I am sure it will be one we buy.
I would also like to comment, last thursday and friday night we had 6 kids in our house. A friend of ours from Texas came in town. Normally, when this occurs at least one night her kids (2) and another friends of ours kids (2) spend one sleepover. Thankfully, they tend to entertain themselves, with few skirmishes. But after 2 nights with 6 kids, sigh, I need a break.
I realize some, if not many, homeschool families have 4 through 13 kids. Personally, I am fine with my own 2. No insult there, I just don't see how you handle all of them.

wouldn't you love to spend a week with that one family with 18 kids, well wait last I heard she had number 19 in the oven and I can't for the life of me think of their name right now, they have been on tv all the kids names start with J and they live in arkansas

Anne, they are the Duggers, live about an hour an half from us. I have seen them at a home school conference all in their matching clothes.

In short Anne, NO.
I need a drink after having 6 kids in my home. I couldn't afford 18 kids.

Bah, just send your kids to mingle with the heathens in the public schools, where they can get their heads filled with nasty ideas like evolution and birth control. ;)
But seriously, I enjoyed Kung Fu Panda. I doubt the filmmakers wanted to make any sort of spiritual or theological point by saying "there are no accidents" -- I think they just put that in there to sound all ancient and badass.

Yeah, your probably right JTL. I just thought it was interesting.
